Silver Waves

Silver Waves is an ongoing portrait project exploring women’s experiences of embracing naturally gray hair. Through portraits of women of different ages and backgrounds, the project examines identity, aging, authenticity, and the cultural expectations surrounding women’s appearance.

What began in 2021 as a personal exploration through self-portraiture has grown into a visual archive celebrating individuality and the choice to let a visible marker of aging remain visible.
